Since you plan on keeping the truck for a long time as stated, and if your 3rd gear grind worsens or just becomes intolerable, you might want to keep your eyes and ears open for a low mileage 6-speed from a '13-15, with the closer to '15 being preferred. since the last bearing and if this were mine I would certainly try hiadun's mod or the factory parts and see what happens as this would be absolutely the least costly at this point. If that is the case, yours seems to have gone about 38k mi. If so, that currently does not leave many options other than replacing with another OEM bearing and continue to use the transmission's aluminum quill, or the stainless quill sleeve with the modified OEM bearing kit by I believe the spring upgrade in the slave cylinder may be more effective if the mod is implemented relatively early - such as when the chirping noise begins - rather than to wait a long time for the wear pattern in the T/O bearing raceway to become established.
